The CHS cross country team traveled to West Holt on Tuesday,October 6th to compete in the Nenac cross country meet. Once again the weather wasn't the most cooperative in the world, but we still did great.
The girls came in 3rd place as a team and had one medalist. Jill Brady was our sole girl medalist, coming in 10th. The other girls came close to receiving medals by placing as follows: Karlene Sukup-16th, Jenni Laflan-17th, Anna Sorensen-20th, and Becci Laflan-21st. Both of our boys did exceptionally well.
Austin Baldwin was a speed demon and came in 3rd, and Josh followed shortly behind receiving 8th place. Unfortunately, the boys are two people short of having an actual team so they were not able to be in the running for any team awards.
We are super proud of our cross country team and all their efforts thus far in the season.
Follow the team to Bloomfield on Friday, October 9th for the Bloomfield Invite.
