On Monday November 12th, 2007, the Veteran's Day Program was held in the Creighton High School gym. Bill Stokes was the Master of the Ceremonies. The program started with the parade of colors, and then the pledge of allegiance led by the Elementary Student Council. St. Ludger Elementary School then performed the "Star Spangled Banner", and the "Allegiance Rap". The Voice of Democracy winners shared their speeches with us. 3rd place went to Sam Blair, 2nd to Katie DeMuth, and 1st went to Krista Nelson. The Junior High Choir performed by singing "MyAmerica". Next, the student body president, Krista Nelson, proceeded to read a poem entitled "The Battle of the Flag". The Jr. High Band then performed "Cohan Celebration". After we werethrough with the band, Tim Gragert gave a heartwarming Veteran's Day Address. There was then a moment of silence followed by taps played by Mr. Kevin Thoendel. Our National Anthem was then played by the Jr. and Sr. High Band and was followed by the retirement of colors.
