Bullhawks get shot down by Braves

Last night the Bullhawks of Creighton/Verdigre took on the Braves of Battle Creek which was one for the record books. The dual started off with a JV match in which Braden Forker picked up a win. Then the Varsity began at the heavyweight class in which Kyle Berglund won 9-4, at 103 and 112 the Bullhakws were open, at the 119 pound weight class Owen Pavelka got pinned in the 2nd period, at 125 Andy Doerr got a pin in the first period, at 130 Austin Baldwin got pinned, in 135 pound weight class Ryan Volquardsen got pinned in the 1st period, at 140, Brennan Becker went out and took a forfeit, at 145 pounds Eli Schreirer got pinned, at 152 pound weight class Andrew Largen took his kid to the wood shed and won 17-4, at the 160 pound weight class Spencer Fredrick lost 11-5, at 171 pound weight class Landon Pospisil won 8-6, at 189 Nick York won 12-0, and in the last match of the night, Russell Volquardsen won 6-2.
The Braves won 39-29 in the first ever dual at the Bullhawk's Nest (in Verdigre).
This Saturday the JV Bullhawks will host a JV Invite in the Bullhawks House ( in Creighton) stating at 9:30.
