Runners go out with a bang!

On Friday, October 23, 2009 the Cross country team went to Kearney to cheer on their two runners at the state championships. Considering the whole ride down it was precipitating in every possible form, Friday turned out to be a nice day. The races kicked off at noon with the Class A girls, at 2:00 was the Class D girls and the Class D boys at 3:00. Jill represented Creighton in the girls division and Austin in the boys division. Jill finished her race in 47th place with a time of 17:37. Austin finished in 36th place with a time of 18:37:6. All in all, the runners had a very successful season. We are going to be super sad to see the seniors graduate and not join us for another season, but the cross country season next year should turn out to be a spectacular one. We encourage anyone who is interested in having a good time to go out for the CHS cross country team next year!
