Cross country team runs at Bloomfield

It turned out to be a nice day Friday, October 9th, to be out running at the Rolling Hills golf course. We only had one medalist, but everyone else did exceptionally well. In the girls division, Jill Brady came in 29th, Karlene Sukup- 50th, Jenni Laflan- 52nd, Anna Sorensen-55th, and Becci Laflan-74th. In the boys division, we had Austin Baldwin medal after coming in 22nd place. Josh Javoursky ran a great race and came in 50th place. This meet was by far the biggest meet we have been to so far. In the boys division there were 75 runners, and in the girls division there were 82 runners. The weather for the race was just about perfect running weather. Fortunate for us, the wind waited to come up till after we got home and snow followed shortly after. The CHS runners will have their district meet this week at the Rolling Hills golf course. The weather could make running a little more challenging, considering there is good chance it could be precipitating in some form or another and the wind may blow. But we are super hopeful that we will come home with some state qualifiers, if not a whole team of them.
