XC team does well despite the weather

On Friday, October 2, 2009 the CHS cross country team traveled to the Plainview Golf course to compete. The weather made things a little more challenging for all runners, seeing that the wind was blowing, it was precipitating, and the temperature was definitely nearing freezing point. Despite all these conditions, the girls still brought home the team runner-up trophy and we had two medalists. Jill Brady received 6th place while Austin Baldwin came in 9th. Our other runners placed as follows: Karlene Sukup-15th, Jenni Laflan-17th, Anna Sorensen-18th, Becci Laflan-21st, and for Josh Javoursky-15th. The cross country team will have a busy homecoming week, having two meets. On Tuesday, October 6th they have Nenac at West Holt and Friday, October 9th at Bloomfield.
